In this, our last blog posting, we finish off our cross-Canada trip back to St. Catharines. After Saskatchewan, we headed a bit north off the Trans-Canada highway into Manitoba to camp at Riding Mountain National park. It was lovely, but the most intriguing part was that we had the entire campground to ourselves, except for a moose which strolled through the campground one evening when we were setting up camp. We didn't mind sharing.

Ta da! Made it to Ontario. However, Ontario is so long that our trip back home was only about half done!
Once in Ontario, the landscape changes dramatically. Ontario is a land of lakes and rocks. Here, a waterfall near Lake of the Woods, close to the Ontario/Manitoba border.

In Ontario, our car hit a milestone in kms: 200000
Just outside of Sudbury, a memorial to Terry Fox, the very courageous runner who ended his famous trek across Canada near here.

Another towering view over Lake Superior. What we saw of Lake Superior was beautiful. Unfortunately, one of our main Lake Superior days, travelling into Lake Superior Provincial park, was very rainy and foggy. Can't complain though: we had fabulous weather for 6 months!

Bruce Pennisula National park. A lovely swimming spot on Georgian Bay. As we expected, it was quite cold, but not as cold as Lake Superior in June, which we attempted to swim in, but--guess what?--we failed.
Our final kms on the Odometer, 201840, when we finally pulled into 30 Wolseley Ave, St. Catharines. All told, over the 6 1/2 months away, we travelled over 20000 kms!
Home at last. Celebrating our very wonderful trip with a sparkling beverage!
